Mining the Seams at Warwickshire County Record Office – Volunteer opportunity

Volunteer with Warwickshire Bytes
We are inviting people to get involved with online indexing of documents held at the County Record Office, starting with court depositions from the 19th and early 20th century. No prior knowledge is necessary and full support is given.
Another aspect is Warwickshire in 100 objects and stories. We are asking people to contribute objects and stories to the Our Warwickshire website so we can create a People’s History of the county.
If you would like to find out more, we are visiting Atherstone Library on Friday, 1st February between 10.30 am and 1.00 pm. We will also be holding events at Leamington and Nuneaton libraries.

Ward End Scouts more…
Ward End Christian Spiritualist church was a meeting place for cubs and scouts early in the 1900’s I believe. In fact in the 80s, I think there might have even been some kind of plaque or photos in there.
Ward End Scouts
From a website enquiry. Does this help?
“I used to go to a little church on Wall Bank Road. It was a little wooden hut that used to be used by scouts/cubs in the area before it became a church.”
Ward End Scouts history: can anyone help?
We've just had this enquiry: Hi I am the Explorer Scout Leader at 34th Birmingham Scouts meeting at Rogers Road, I am trying to trace the history of the scout group which I believe was started in 1909 somewhere near St Margarets Church. I am hoping one of more of your members will be able to help me with background information about the area please. If so, please contact us. Thanks
