Anyone know where you can buy a copy of: GOVIER, K. (2010) Ward End from Ancient Times to the Present Day. Overpool Neighbourhood Forum, Birmingham?
Hope you can help.
Mike Walpole wrote: “Do you have anything about Catherine Chattock Ward. A memorial to the Lees family which contained her name, and address of Hodge Hill, Castle Bromwich, was re-discovered in Coleshill church recently.”
Any comments/feedback welcome
Anyone know anything about A. Mosely & Son, plumbing contractors, Ward End or likely cistern manufacturers? If so, please contact us. Thanks.
At our talk in April, on the History of Pottery, we all made a shape which portrayed an interest. Albrighton Pottery put these into a mould to make this weatherproof bowl. It will be raffled in our next meeting
Thanks to Tom Burke, the object is the ornamental pool of Amberley Preparatory School, in the former Ward End House.
Tom referred us to Robert Darlaston’s site, where there is an excellent account of the school’s history and personal. See A brief history of the area.
